Leon and Claire hit the big screen in the first CG-animated Resident Evil film.

Resident Evil: Degeneration, set to hit theaters in 2008, marks the first film in the Resident Evil franchise to ditch live action for CG animation. We regret to announce, however, that Milla Jovovich is nowhere in sight.

On the other hand, it looks like Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy will be making more than cameo appearances, which certainly is good news. Additionally, the film looks to be starring multiple members of the undead as antagonists, which may have a thirst for blood and brains — we’re just guessing. They also may or may not respond to bullets and explosions as a method of dispensation.Anything is possible, but the CG-animated Degeneration has the potential to be a favorite among Resident Evil fans as a more valid representation of the actual games.
